Eleanor Catton becomes youngest Booker Prize winner


The New Zealand author Eleanor catton had won the Booker prize for the novel "The Luminaries" at the youngest age.

The Indian origin jhumpa lahiri's novel " The Lowland" was also in the Booker prize race.

The catton 832 page novel has also become the longest work in the history of Booker awards. She wrote this book on the topic of 19th century gold mines. catton started writing this novel at the age of 25.

Catton had been declared as a winner at the London's guildhall on tuesday. The amount of 50,000 pounds had been also awarded to her along with Booker prize.

Catton's novel is extremely complex in structure.
